Helen Harding

Helen, 92, of Greeley, Colorado passed November 12, 2014, after a brief illness. Born December 1, 1921, in Sutton, Nebraska, Helen moved to Colorado as a young girl, and married Buford in Paonia, Colorado, October 25, l937. She was wife, mother and homemaker. As a member of Oasis Rebekah Lodge #13 of Greeley, held several offices, including Noble Grand and was awarded the Decoration of Chivalry. Helen & Buford were charter members of the Greeley Merry Mixers Square Dance Club and longtime members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Buford; son, Clifford; great granddaughter, Samantha Consolver; and siblings, Harold Weikum and Lois Lookhart. Survived by her daughter, Karen (Frank) Van Pelt, Westminster; daughter in law, Jeannette Harding, Baltic, SD; grandchildren, Susan (Thomas) Vilfroy, Greeley, Dr. Michael Harding, Baltic, SD, Cheri (David) Consolver, Aurora, and Jennifer Van Pelt, Lakewood; great grandchildren, Bryan (Cindy Leitner) Green, Krystin Green, Alexandra Consolver, Christopher Consolver, Torrey Harding, Mackenna Harding; siblings, Lewis Small, Houston, TX, Arthur Small & Dean Small, Greeley, Fred Small, Witchita, KS, Isal (Harry) Hipple, Wheat Ridge, and Judy (Chuck) Sanders, Fair Grove, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be Thursday, November 20, 2014, 11 AM, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1800 21st Ave., Greeley, Colorado 80631. Interment, Sunset Memorial Gardens.
