Eulene Shea

Age 92, of Denver, passed away November 23, 2016. Preceded in death by parents A.O. Martin and Argie (Luttrell); husband of 62+ years Marion; siblings Joyce Cooke, John T. Martin, Mervin Martin, and Leonard Martin. Survived by children Wayne (Jeanne), Gary (Patricia), Patricia, and Michael (Vicky); scores of grandchildren; even more great-grandchildren; even (5th generation) great-great-grandchildren. Eulene's family moved from Denver to the farm east of Ft. Lupton, CO. She was introduced to Christ by her mother, trusted Christ as a young person and served Him her entire life. She met Marion Shea who while he was doing harvest labor. On September 5, 1942, they were married at Pastor Bonderant's home and stayed married over 62 years until Marion's passing. Eulene had a passion for sewing, crocheting, quilting, needlework, doing crossword puzzles, reading and journaling. She was an active member of her church Mt. View Baptist Church, Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, and Victory Baptist Church – working on remodeling, painting, mission work and being the camp cook. She also held various jobs – jean factory, turkey farm, demonstrator for food companies, Gates Rubber Co., and Colorado Photos (before Direct Color). In her free time she was a caregiver and devoted her time to hospice work as well as family. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, from 5:00-7:00PM, at Horan & McConaty 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., in Lakewood. A Funeral Service will be held in Eulene's honor on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 11:00AM at Victory Baptist Church, 1305 South Dale Court in Denver.
