Emma Quintana

Emma, 70, of Thornton, Colorado passed away August 19, 2017. ""Remember not my fight for breath, remember not the strife, please do not dwell upon my death, but celebrate my life."" Emma passed away peacefully at her home in Thornton, Colorado with her loving husband, Joe Quintana, of 51 years by her side. She is also survived by her children, Deb Kuhns (Don), Jody Sundstrom (Brian), and Lee Quintana (Angie), and her 7 grandchildren Emma Watkins (Terry), Toni Vasquez (Gabe), Zach Sundstrom, Devon Kuhns, Caden, Luke and Ally Quintana. Emma was born in Walsenburg, Colorado on July 13, 1947 to Neva and Joe Valdez. She is also survived by her sisters and brother Celia, Phylis, Pat, Theresa, and Joe. Emma (aka Gummy Bear) was creative, humble, caring, generous, kind-hearted, strong and a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. You would always see Emma doing some kind of craft, fixing something, or spending time with the ones she loved. Her legacy will be felt into eternity. Memorial Service will be Thursday, August 24, 2017, 11 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton.
