Dorothy Elliott, passed away December 26th 2017 was born in Howe, NE on September 20th 1922. Howe is a small farming community in Southeast Nebraska. She grew up on a 160 acre farm with her father Bob and mother Nellie. She was the oldest of four children Dorothy , Donna , Deloma and Bobby , all who have passed away. Dorothy married Keith Elliott in 1942, shortly before he was shipped off to North Africa with the 5th Army during W.W. II . They had 2 children , Deliece in 1954 and Keith Jr., also known as Lee, in 1956. Deliece was an accomplished ballerina for her young age and in her last year danced in the Denver Civic Ballet (old name) Nutcracker Suite she passed away of Leukemia in 1969, and Keith Sr. passed away in 1991. Dorothy enjoyed reading, movies and plays. She also, liked ethnic foods and saw to it that Deliece and Lee were exposed to different foods and cultures when they were young. She moved to Aurora at the very end of 1960, and with the help of Keith, Sr., bought her first house in Octtober 1961 where she stayed there until she passed away. Dorothy worked for a short time at the Aurora Public Schools, and then got a job at the V.A. Hospital in Denver and worked there until she retired. Dorothy is survived by her son, Lee, and his daughter, Heather, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on February 22nd, 11am at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 2015 Glenarm Place, Denver, CO 80205.
