Clint Faubion

Clint Faubion, a long-time Denver businessman passed quietly in his sleep on Friday, September 21, 2013. He was born in Palisade, Nebraska on November 19, 1927. His parents were Lloyd Faubion and Lucine Swenson Faubion. He is survived by his wife, Sue Quinn Faubion and their son, Rick Faubion. His brother Roger Faubion preceded him in death. Roger's wife Beverly, their two sons and their families live in Phoenix, Arizona. Clint grew up on his grandfather Swenson's farm in Gove, Kansas and attended high school in Hays, and Oakley, Kansas. When he was 19 years old, he opened a Ben Franklin Store in Hill City, Kansas. He moved to Denver in 1957. Throughout his career he worked in retail as a manager or owner and always a top salesman. He worked briefly at downtown Woolworths before going to GanoDowns where he became manager of the Cherry Creek Ganos, later he opened his own store, Clint Faubions, and ended his career with Burberry in Cherry Creek Mall. A celebration of Clint's life will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 20, at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Memorials in Clint's honor are suggested to the Red Cross, 444 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203 or Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
