Charlotte Sanford

Charlotte Sanford, July 20, 1920 - June 7, 2015 Survived by sons Peter and David, daughter-in-law Jane, grandchildren David and Lynn, and granddaughter-in-law Essie. Preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Sanford. Charlotte lived a full life, serving as a WAC in WWII, graduating from Oberlin College, and traveling widely. She was a small lady with a big heart and a big smile who never met a stranger. There will be a viewing Thursday, 6/11/15 at 6:00PM at the Horan & McConaty funeral home at 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, and an Episcopal funeral service at St. Martin-in-the-Fields church Friday, 6/12/15 at 2:00PM at 4740 S. Buckley Rd., Aurora. She was a long-time resident of Ledyard, CT, and has recently resided at Cherry Creek Retirement Village and at Brookdale DTC. She will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
