He was one of six siblings, Harold Jr., Thelma ""Jane"" Kiddie, Warren, his twin brother Gerald, and Kenny. Charles graduated from Brush High School in 1970, where he met the love of his life, Jean Knox. They were together for 48 wonderful years, and married for 45 of those. He worked at Sigmans meat company from 1970 to 1974, starting at the bottom of the company and working his way up to swingman. Charles and Jean purchased a truck and started their lives as entrepreneurs in 1974, owning and operating their fertilizer business. They then purchased a farm in Yuma, Colorado in 1978, where they raised irrigated crops, earning awards from the United States Soil Conservation, and building a family farm for his siblings to become a part of also. In 1984, Charles formed a mining company, Caprock Corporation. While keeping the family farm in business, Chuck and Jean moved to Denver, Colorado in 1987. Chuck and Jean took Caprock all the way to the public level, allowing it to trade publicly on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Charles was involved in several other businesses, including a real estate and mortgage company, Gulfstream Capital. He was recognized as the only mortgage company in Colorado to never have a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. His knowledge of real estate enabled him to successfully own and manage several condominiums, extending his real estate endeavors. His positive outlook allowed successes that were otherwise impossible. His love of God, his wife Jean, his children and family, and all he surrounded himself with was deep and genuine. His presence with us will forever be missed, but his love remains forever in our hearts.
