Charles Chizzo

Charles Chizzo, 85, of Evergreen passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 19, 1932, he was the son of the late Nick and Paulina (Greshko) Chizzo. Charles served honorably in the Army during the Korean War. Charles married Carol Neisner on March 2,1957 and together they shared 61 years of marriage. Charles worked as a Sr. Electronics Technician at a government laboratory for many years and enjoyed applying his skills to projects at home. Throughout his long life he enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, and interacting with wildlife and his cats. In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his children: David Chizzo, Peggy Burroughs, Paul Chizzo, Laura Arnoldussen, and Kathy Brion. He was also a grandfather and great-grandfather to many. He is preceded in death by his son Scott Chizzo, who passed away in 2012. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10AM at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80227. All are welcome to come at 9AM to visit with Charles’ family. A burial with military honors will be held at 11:30AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80236.
