Betty Joan Marvel Soule was born September 12, 1939 and passed away on January 2, 2015. She was born to Lee and Emma Marvel in Georgetown, Colorado. She is survived by her brother Carroll Lee Marvel, 8 children, 2 nephews and 1 niece, 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins and friends. Betty attended Jefferson High School in Lakewood, Colorado with quite a few of her cousins and made many friend that are all still very close to this day. She married William (Bill) Soule when she was 20 years old on her birthday in 1959 and honeymooned in Glenwood Springs. With the marriage she became an immediate step mother to 4 boys from Bill's prior marriage and they proceeded to be blessed with 4 girls. She was married for 32 years until 1991 when Bill passed away. Betty was a member of Mountair Christian Church her entire life. She worked at multiple jobs over the years while raising a family with the last one being a security officer. She lived with and cared for her mother, Emma, until Emma's death. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and was often mischievously planning the next joke or adventure. Betty enjoyed bingo, crafts and reading very much, but mostly she enjoyed being with her friends and family. Her grandchildren where the light of her life and she was always happy to spend time with her family and friends. When Betty made a friend, they became part of the family and are friends for life. Betty's life motto is Live, Love and Laugh which is embraced by her family.
