Bette Checketts

Bette Checketts, 91, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on June 14, 2018. With her fiery red hair and vivacious personality, Bette loved life and loved people. She was a meticulous homemaker and outstanding cook. Creative and with a flair for design, Bette was an excellent seamstress. Musically talented, she also played the piano. Although Bette had many interests and talents, her primary focus was spiritual, and she spent most of her life sharing her faith with others. Discerning and intuitive, Bette could console those in distress. She was instrumental in helping others draw close to the God she loved. Her faithfulness will go with her into the kingdom of 1000 years and throughout eternity. Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Duane ""Duke"" Checketts and a son, Douglas Checketts. She is survived by her daughter, Patty Boyer as well as her grandchildren, Jodi, Christian, Sonia, Rebecca and Benjamin. Appreciating what an amazing mother I had, I feel very privileged to have been a part of her life - Patty.
