Armando Rodriguez

Armando Simon Rodriguez, beloved husband of Nadine Rodriguez, passed away on November 6, 2017 in Denver, Colorado. Armando was born on January 14, 1971 in Alexandria, Virginia. He was the wonderful father of Armando Rafael Rodriguez and son of Christy Rodriguez. Throughout his life Armando lived in California, Virginia and Colorado. He worked for Dex Media for 20 years, GNC for a year, Denver Public Schools for two years; and he was a devoted coach for life! He was a member of the Catholic Church, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, the Democratic Party, coach for youth and high school sports, and an avid Redskins fan. In addition to his wife, son and mother, Armando is survived by his brother Emiliano Blackburn-Rodriguez; grandparents Armando and Beatriz Rodriguez; in-laws Ken & Christine Gonzalez; sister-in-law Pam Gonzalez; niece Samantha Gonzalez; nephew Thomas; and countless cousins, friends, brothers, students, and players. He was preceded in death by Simon Serrano, Esperanza Serrano, Petra Cardenas, Andres Rodriguez, Simon C. Serrano, Ralph Gonzalez, and Rudy “Buster” Vazquez. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Lady of Loreto,18000 East Arapahoe Road, Aurora, Colorado 80016. Relatives and friends are welcome at a rosary and public viewing on Wednesday, November 15, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial Colorado 80122.
